Scholarships will be awarded to individuals pursuing a certificate or degree in power equipment technology at an EETC accredited school. Applicants will be judged on their academic achievement, leadership activities, and student statement. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who exhibit financial need.

Am I eligible to apply?

You are eligible to apply for EETC’s Paul H. Scholten Memorial Scholarship if you are: 

• Full-time student (minimum 12 credits).
• Currently enrolled in an EETC accredited power equipment program.
• A high school senior who has been accepted for enrollment in an EETC accredited 
power equipment program.

When is the deadline to apply?

The application must be submitted online by March 6, 2020.

How do I submit an application?

• Applications will be accepted only by the online process. Please see Online Application below.

Will I receive notice of being awarded a scholarship?

Yes, scholarship recipients will be notified by email.

Who judges my scholarship application?

The Equipment & Engine Training Council’s Scholarship Committee judges all scholarship applications. The committee is comprised of power equipment educators and industry leaders.

What can my scholarship be used for?

The scholarships are solely for educational expenses: tuition, fees, books, supplies, and housing.

Can I renew my scholarship?

No, scholarships are non-renewable. However, you may apply again next year and your application will be considered at that time. 

When will scholarships be awarded?

Scholarships will be awarded at our annual conference held April of every year.
