FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Taking advantage of the mandated pandemic lockdown time, the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) has improved its in-house capabilities with the addition of a new audio voice-over (VO) recording booth.

The VO booth will be used to improve the sound quality of the in-house production of its e-learning courses. With the booth, the EETC is able to reduce room sound pressure by 8.5 decibels. This 46-percent overall noise volume reduction will help EETC e-learners concentrate better on speaker voice and not be distracted by unwanted background noise.

For tech trainers’ knowledge, the VO booth features a PreSonus StudioLive AR8 USB 8-channel mixer/recording board and a Shure SM7B microphone. The room’s walls are 9 inches thick with double-layered Sheetrock mounted on a floating wall with whisper clips and hat channels. The room is outfitted with an Audimute Peacemaker sound barrier and Audimute AcoustiColor acoustic panels. The room ventilation is also acoustically treated with its own separate intake and exhaust systems, including an AC Infinity Cloudline S4, Quiet Inline Duct Fan System, to reduce outside noise entering the room and the sound of air movement. #EETCcert #PreSonus #Shure #Audimute #ACInfinity
